Glos UK. May 10, 2017. #1. Morning all, Just picked up my lads 2010 Mazda 6 to fit a tow bar and the DPF warning light is flashing. I've had a quick look on the inter web and it appears that it could be high oil level, service reset or needing a regen. I know it's had a few decent motorway runs over the past week (100 miles +) so regen might The dipstick is just past F, and service indicator isnt flashing yet ( dpf light flashing), but i wanted to do it a bit early anyway. I know how to reset the service indicator ( dpf flashing) light when its actually flashing, by putting a wire top right in fusebox connector to ground, and then hitting the accelerator pedal quickly 5 times. I was able to set the DPF ash value back its previous values per your instructions. I took the car for a drive as soon as I made the ECU reset.. and immediately I noticed the car regen (by the idle RPM being slightly elevated). A few minutes later (the DPF warning light came back on), which was where I was before I did the DPF reset. But I'm I reckon I'd be spending about the same on fuel if I had kept my 08 Fiesta 1.6D and bought half a gallon of diesel every week and poured it down the toilet. Road tax £20 p.a. Had this replaced and a forced regen. Reading showed it was 70% blocked. Took the car 70mph for 150 miles (conveniently going to seaside anyway) and seemed ok, however, EML light came on. It came on at 24400 Miles, I bought the car at 11400 Miles. 13000 service interval. What a coincedence!! Just had car serviced, new Low ash oil etc, and DPF cleaner used. But Garage can't reset light. They say dianostics Comes up code P2459 DPF regeneration frequency . To stop the DPF Regen process press the clutch down or simply remove the wire bridge from 2 pin plug. Let it run for 3 min before turning off. IMPORTANT: Must be done outdoors. Choose Dynamic DPF Regeneration then just follow the instructions until complete. 4. Perform a test drive and confirm that the DPF warning light is no longer illuminated. *Please note: Some OE’s require a special function "Replace or Reset DPF" after the replacement of the filter.
